Scholarships
Wentworth offers several scholarships that students can utilize to help fund their education. Certain scholarships, including merit scholarships and endowed scholarships do not require a separate application; all students are automatically considered for these opportunities. Other scholarships may require previous program participation and do require an application.
Merit Scholarship
Every student who applies to Wentworth is automatically considered for our merit-based scholarship, the Presidential Merit Scholarship.
The scholarship is awarded during the admissions process and the average Wentworth student receives a scholarship that ranges from $17,000-$22,000. The scholarship is renewed every year a student attends Wentworth as long as their GPA remains in good standing, they are meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress, and they are enrolled full-time. The scholarship even continues through graduate school if a student decides to get a master's degree at Wentworth.
First-year and transfer students should complete the admissions application as early as possible to be evaluated for the merit scholarship. No additional scholarship forms are required to receive the scholarship.
Additional Scholarships No Application Needed
The following Wentworth scholarships do not require a separate application; all students who meet the criteria are automatically considered for these awards by the Admissions Office during their holistic review process.

Boston Resident Scholarship
The Boston Resident Scholarship is awarded to Boston residents. Scholarship selection is based on a variety of factors including academics, leadership, school and community involvement as well as financial need. Boston resident applicants must have been accepted to Wentworth by the Early Action Round 2 deadline of January 1 and submit a FAFSA to be automatically considered.

Early Action Scholarship
Early Action Scholarship is awarded to students who apply by Early Action 1 (November 1) or Early Action 2 (January 1) and are eligible for a $1,500 award.

Endowed Scholarships
Endowed Scholarships are awarded based on financial need and may also include specific program of study among other eligibility requirements

FIRST Robotics
Wentworth Institute of Technology is pleased to announce that we will be offering a scholarship for FIRST Robotics participants beginning with candidates for Fall 2023 admission.
Wentworth Institute of Technology will consider any student who has participated in FIRST Robotics consistently throughout high school for our FIRST Robotics Scholarship. To be eligible for the Wentworth FIRST Robotics Scholarship, students must have applied and been accepted to Wentworth by the Early Action Round 2 application deadline of January 1.
Up to 5 scholarships will be awarded each year. The scholarship amount will be $10,000/year renewable for four years provided satisfactory academic progress is maintained as outlined in Wentworth’s academic catalog.

Project Lead the Way Scholarship
Project Lead the Way Scholarship is offered in collaboration with Mass STEM Hub. Wentworth awards scholarship to all accepted students who are graduating from a Massachusetts high school and have completed at least three Project Lead the Way courses. Preference is given to students who have applied to and are accepted by Early Action Round 2 deadlines. Students who have completed two courses and are enrolled in the third will also be given consideration.

VEX Robotics
Wentworth Institute of Technology is pleased to announce that we will be offering a scholarship for VEX Robotics participants beginning with candidates for Fall 2023 admission.

ACE Mentor Scholarships
ACE (Architecture, Construction, Engineering) Mentor scholarships are offered to selected students who are admitted to Wentworth degree programs in Architecture, Civil Engineering or Construction Management and are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Students should complete the ACE Mentor Application Form by April 1 of their senior year of high school to notify the Office of Undergraduate Admissions that they are involved with an ACE Mentor Program affiliate. Scholarships will be awarded by April 15.
The scholarship amount will be up to $5,000 in addition to any pre-existing merit and need-based funding the student may have been awarded, renewable for four years.

Phi Theta Kappa
Each year Wentworth, welcomes members of Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) into the incoming transfer class. A Phi Theta Kappa scholarship will be awarded to qualified community college or two-year transfer students who currently hold active membership: Fall enrollment - $3,000 - $5,000 Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Criteria for Eligibility:
- College GPA > or = to 3.2
- Demonstrated leadership on campus
- Phi Theta Kappa member in good standing
- Letter of recommendation from Phi Theta Kappa advisor
- Essay of 250 words describing how Phi Theta Kappa has impacted your experience as a college student at a two year or community college
- Accepted to Wentworth

Scholarship Universe is an outside scholarship search, match, and application tool that all Wentworth students can utilize.
Students log in using their Wentworth username and password to create a profile and start matching to scholarships.
Scholarships are open to incoming first-year students, returning students and graduate students and all scholarships are vetted and approved by Scholarship Universe.

Additional Aid Options
There are many financial resources, and Wentworth encourages you to explore all the different options available. To finance their educations, students may also qualify for additional aid options such as the University’s Sibling Discount, scholarships or grants based on financial need, student employment on campus (work-study), or loans or other financing. Our Financial Aid Counselors are ready to discuss these options with students and parents. So when you choose Wentworth, you can be confident that you’re getting a great value for your tuition dollars—and making a sound investment in your future.

Sibling Discount
Wentworth offers a tuition discount for siblings enrolled concurrently in full time degree programs. All siblings must be matriculated and enrolled in a full time Wentworth program each semester of eligibility. The sibling discount is applied as follows:
- 10% tuition discount per student for the first and second siblings, enrolled concurrently.
- 20% tuition discount for the third and additional siblings, enrolled concurrently.
The discount does not apply to and will be removed in the following situations.
- One of the siblings takes a leave of absence, withdraws or graduates.
To apply for the discount, list all siblings on the Sibling Discount Form. All areas must be complete, including the expected graduate date for each student.

State Grants
Some states award scholarships and grants which can assist students attending Wentworth. These states include Massachusetts and Vermont.

Student Employment
A limited number of Federal Work-Study jobs, which are based on financial need, are offered as part of the financial aid award.

Loans
Federal Direct Loans are awarded to students who apply for Financial Aid. There are two types of Federal Direct Loans: Subsidized and Unsubsidized. Eligibility for a subsidized loan is based on financial need, as determined by the FAFSA.
