Counseling Services

Counseling Services offers students individual counseling, group counseling, crisis intervention, referrals to off-campus treatment providers, and consultation and training with faculty, staff, and student leaders. Our services aim to support students' mental health, wellness, and personal and academic growth. All sessions with counselors are free of charge and strictly confidential.  No information will be released without the student's permission, except in cases of emergency.

Counseling Services is staffed by professionally trained counselors who are available to discuss various student concerns. Counselors are sensitive to issues of gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, and disabilities.

Students may be seen for short- or long-term counseling, as needs dictate. Most students experience relief after only a few sessions. When appropriate, students may be referred to another qualified professional in the community.
