Tufts Health Plan

Wentworth contributes 62.5% towards the following plans through Tufts Health Plan

Faculty cost based off 18 paychecks (pre-tax deduction)

  • HMO
    2017 rates (biweekly): Individual - $176.29; Family - $475.42
  • PPO
    2017 rates (biweekly): Individual - $206.08; Family - $555.25

Dental Benefits

CIGNA

  • Choice of Dentist
  • $1500 maximum per year per person
  • WIT pays 50 % premium

Faculty cost (pre-tax deduction)

  • 2017 rates (per paycheck): Individual - $14.15; Family - $38.58

Pension

TIAA-CREF

  • Waiting period:  1 year 
  • WIT contribution:  10%
  • Employee contribution: 0%
  • Supplemental Retirement options available upon hire (pre-tax contribution)

Disability

  • Long-term by The Hartford
  • Faculty eligible after one year

Long-term Disability

  • 60% of base pay beginning the seventh month of disability
  • WIT pays full premium

  • 2 x academic year base salary

Dependent Care

  • Dependent or Elder care expenses deducted from paycheck before taxes

Tuition Assistance: Full-time employees only

  • At WIT, tuition waived for up to 8 credits for semester  (eligible upon hire)
  • At other COF colleges, tuition waived for one undergraduate level course per semester upon approval (after 1 year service)
  • Tuition assistance at WIT for dependents (after 1 year service)
  • Tuition reimbursement at other schools for graduate level courses upon approval

MBTA Monthly Pass Program

  • Up to $84.50 subsidized monthly t-pass if there is no parking permit

Parking

2017 rates:

  • Annual pass - $57.78 per paycheck
  • Adjunct day pass - $20.00 per paycheck
  • Evening/weekend pass - $70.00 each semester
  • Daily pass - $10.00
