How does technology help you in your courses at WIT?

I use PowerPoint presentations for all my classes. I believe in the paperless classroom; I give nothing to a copy center unless it is material that I can't get in a digital format. I use LConnect extensively and a course management system to link class materials and communicate with my students. I also understand my thoughts and ideas as sharing knowledge. I am not afraid that somebody can take my achievements away and use it for their own purposes. Are we not all products of what we were taught before, and all we do is add something new or redefine it as teachers and learners?
What is the reaction of your students to this kind of technology use?
I feel that they are highly motivated to see that I integrate online teaching tools. It helps them to remain organized and stay connected 24/7 to the class.

What do you think are the pros and cons of technology?

Technology saves time, money and enables me to be in a stress free environment. Of course, technology will always have issues to resolve. It is human nature to be scared of new things, but try technology - surprises happen and new doors may open. However, technology is not going away. It will be embedded in every aspect of our society. You will be 100% with it or 100% left behind. We are all on a mission...
