Developing a Website

I decided to develop a website when I realized how useful it would be as a central source of information about the focus of my teaching and my scholarly work not only for potential students but for the community at large.

First and foremost, I wanted to create a website where students might go to learn about my interests as an art historian. Hopefully, this might spark their own curiosity about art and inspire them to take an art history course! The website will also provide information on my own research interests, including publications and papers I have presented at conferences, which I hope will be useful to colleagues at Wentworth and at other institutions as well.

A website is a handy place to direct colleagues interested in finding out about your research. Even more, the website will be a resource tool for the broader public, providing links to important art exhibits that I would personally recommend, to art happenings at Wentworth, and to artists in the Boston area. From my perspective, a website is a great way to make your academic concerns and interests available to the widest possible audience!
