Screencasting/Software Demonstration
Screencasting software records activities on the computer screen, mouse movement, and often includes live audio for later playback. Screencasts can help demonstrate and teach the use of software features.
In making a screencast the user defines the area of the screen or the window that is to be captured or the whole screen can be recorded instead. This is set before the recording begins. It is possible to record audio from a microphone or your speakers at the same time or narration can be added later. Files can then be edited, enhanced, or used as is. Depending on the size of the file, this screen recording can then be shared on a web site and linked to Blackboard, or distributed via email.

DTS has tablet devices that you can use with any drawing program to make a demo video. The files can then be uploaded onto a Youtube account and made privaet so that only your students can acccess them. The URL can be emailed or linked from Blackboard.u

A podcast is an audio file that is them downloaded onto the student's computer.You can listen to a podcast using any computer connected to the Internet. It can then be loaded onto an iPod, mobile phone or other device. You can deliver lectures, walking tours or converation with experts in the field.
