Purpose of Jobs, Duties, and Responsibilities

The Office Assistant in Commuter Student Programs helps maintains office operations throughout the week. Duties include helping students, answering email inquiries,  photocopying/faxing/printing, creating marketing materials, hanging/removing posters, providing event assistance when applicable, and other departmental arrangements, and keeping the work area clean. Additional duties may include: event set-up/break-down, promoting upcoming involvement opportunities, creating meeting agendas for typing minutes for past meetings.

Office Assistants will provide exemplary customer service by providing information about campus, giving directions, and positive daily interactions with commuter and off-campus students that visit the office of Commuter Student Programs.

Qualifications

Applicant must be able to perform duties with limited supervision. Office experience is helpful, must have excellent customer service. Ideal candidate is familiar with the commuter student experience at Wentworth and have knowledge of the current commuter programs/events, and their intended goals. Desire to help other students and ability to effectively refer students to appropriate campus resources and services.

Hours:

Hours vary on availability. Commuter Student Programs is open during the following hours: Monday-Friday: 8:15am-4:45pm

$8.00/hr
