American Institute of Building Design Thane Pearson Memorial Scholarship
Thane Pearson Memorial Scholarship fund was established in 2013 by The American Institute of Building Design * Northeast Society (AIBD).
This scholarship is awarded annually for a student majoring in architecture, who is interested in residential architecture and has demonstrated leadership in his/her community.
Eligibility: One annual award for $500 will be distributed from the fund for a student majoring in architecture, who is interested in residential architecture and has demonstrated leadership in his/her community. This scholarship is for one semester. It can be used for the fall, spring or summer semesters for the 2013-2014 academic year. .
Finalists will be determined by Wentworth and the final decision will be made with a selected team of American Institute of Building Design * Northeast Society representatives.
Awards are credited toward the cost of a student’s book(s) through a voucher to the Wentworth Bookstore.

Charles E. Ely Scholarship
The Charles C. Ely Educational Fund was established under the will of Charles C. Ely, late of Brookline, Massachusetts. The trustee is instructed to make awards “to help and assist worthy and deserving boys and young men of good character, preferably who are residents of Massachusetts, to obtain a more complete and thorough education or training than they might otherwise be able to obtain.”
Eligibility
To be eligible to receive an Ely Scholarship, students must:
(1) Be a young man enrolled at Wentworth Institute of Technology;
(2) Be a Massachusetts resident; and
(3) Exhibit good character and compelling financial need.
Awards will be credited toward the student’s tuition.
Overview
Wentworth Institute of Technology's financial aid award is offered as a "package" which can consist of a combination of scholarships, grants, loans and employment. By following the application procedures, you will be considered for all aid which you qualify for. You will be notified of your eligibility in the form of an award letter, which will clearly outline the types and amounts of each program you are eligible for. You may be offered assistance from one or more of the programs below.
Merit Award Scholarship
Wentworth offers merit-based scholarships in addition to need-based aid. All applicants are automatically considered for Merit Awards - no additional application is necessary. Merit Scholarships range from $1000 to $20,000 for the entering class of Fall 2012. The Merit evaluation is determined by the Admissions Office and begins in mid-January. The scholarship may be renewed for up to five years, depending on the length of the recipient’s bachelor’s degree program. Recipients must be enrolled full-time (12 classroom credits) and maintain a 2.5 institutional cumulative GPA. Graduate students are not eligible for the Merit award scholarship.
Wentworth Community Scholarship
Eligibility for this scholarship is determined by Wentworth’s Community Scholarship Committee. It is open to returning students who show a significant commitment to the Wentworth Community through involvement in social, administrative, charitable and athletic activities. An eligible student must have completed four semesters and been enrolled full-time while maintaining an institutional cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. Interested students should send a letter documenting their activities to the Community Scholarship Committee c/o the Student Service Center. Recipients must re-apply every year. Maximum award: $2500.
Institutional (Endowment) Scholarships
Wentworth will also offer additional scholarships to qualified individuals based on specific criteria (e.g. geographic location, intended major, etc). This scholarship will be made available online in the summer, award amounts vary.
