Overview
Wentworth Leadership Institute is an eight week, non-credit course designed to enhance each participant's Capacity, Commitment and Character to lead. Grounded in the Worthy Leadership Model (2008), Wentworth Leadership Institute coursework utilizes practical theory, skill building and real-world application to foster in-depth practical, professional and personal leadership development. Wentworth Leadership Institute is a powerful and transformational experience that will prepare students to be effective leaders at Wentworth and in their chosen professions.

Format
Structure
Wentworth Leadership Institute is an eight week, non-credit course that meets once per week during the Spring 2012 semester. Wentworth Leadership Institute classes start the week of January 23, 2012. Classes are offered on a variety of days/times. Please indicate your preferred class sessions on your online registration form. All coursework is done in class; no homework will be assigned.
Coursework
Wentworth Leadership Institute coursework is designed to expose you to leadership concepts that encouraging deep, personal learning, fast assimilation of conceptual models and practical application to use at Wentworth and in your future career. All courses utilize a variety of teaching methods but ultimately include some form of experiential learning, practical application, and reflective learning.

Course Instructors
Wentworth Leadership Institute courses are facilitated by Wentworth staff members that are committed to and trained in leadership education. Course instructors are available to work with students throughout the year.
Eligibility
Wentworth Leadership Institute is open to all students, in any year, in any major. Participants must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (If you are a first year student, you currently do not have a GPA. Wentworth Leadership Institute staff will check your GPA once grades are posted). You do not need to be a member of a club or in a positional leadership role to join. Wentworth Leadership Institute is mandatory for students in the following positions: NEW Resident Assistants, NEW Orientation/WOW Staff, NEW PEAK members, NEW CSB members, and NEW Career Peers. We are looking for students with a diverse range of experiences to enhance group discussion.
