Physics of Music Final Presentations
Did you know that music can be explained through mathematical equations and the laws of physics? Students in PHSY406 The Physics of Music learned to understand the complexities of the physical world around us through a medium that we can all appreciate—music. In addition to learning musical instruments and sound waves, the course curriculum also incorporated the functions of the human auditory system. For their final projects, students designed and built their own instruments, each of which had to play a minimum of three notes. Check out images from their presentations below!
