How can I get a locker?
Commuter students may secure a locker for the academic year at no charge
by choosing any locker that is available, except for lockers in the
gymnasium. Lockers are available on a first come, first served basis. You
will need to provide your own lock. At the end of the spring semester, all
lockers must be cleaned out. If you are taking classes in the summer, you
may keep the locker through the summer, but it must be cleaned out before
the start of the fall semester. All items left in lockers at the end of
the summer semester will be considered abandoned property and will be
removed. If you experience a problem with lockers, please contact the Dean
of Students Office.
Please note that Wentworth is not responsible for the loss or theft of
personal property that is kept in lockers. If something is taken from your
locker, you should contact Public Safety.
May I play the piano in Watson Auditorium?
Any member of the Wentworth community may use the piano in Watson
Auditorium for practicing. Use depends on the availability of the
auditorium. Students who wish to use the piano must leave their Wentworth
student ID with the Dean of Students Office to borrow the key to the
auditorium.
What should I do if I miss class?
Students are responsible for notifying their professors if they are going
to be, or have been, absent. The decision to excuse an absence can only be
made by the faculty member whose class is missed. Students who wish to
appeal a faculty member’s decision should contact the appropriate academic
Department Head.
Under extreme circumstances, such as hospitalization or a death in the
family, the Dean of Students Office will notify a student’s professors of
his/her absence. This note does not excuse the student from class or any
missed assignments, and it is the student’s responsibility to contact
his/her professors immediately upon returning to campus.
What if I have a problem with one of my professors?
Any conflicts or grievances with a professor should be brought to the
attention of the professor whenever appropriate. Unresolved conflicts or
grievances with a professor should be directed to that professor’s
academic Department Head. This includes appeals of absences, grades,
teaching methods, or in-class conduct.
