Housing Selection Night

Housing Selection takes place in the Tudbury Auditorium each year.  The purpose of this night is to allow students to choose their living spaces for the following academic year (Fall, Spring, and optional Summer).  Students have full control over choosing their suitemates, roommates, building, and space.

There are many requirements that students must meet before attending Housing Selection:

  1.  A deposit must be made with the Student Service Center.  (Summer deposits of $450 do not qualify you for Housing Selection for the Fall.)
  2. Students will receive a Housing Selection Number which will be used to decide the order of selection.  Students must know their Selection Number before going to Selection Night.
  3. Students must be able to completely fill a space they wish to select.  For example, if choosing a suite in 610 you must have six students ready to commit to that space.  If students cannot fill a space they forfeit the ability to select it and will have to find other options.
  4. If for any reason a student cannot be present at Housing Selection Night they must come to the Housing Office and fill out a Proxy Form for Room Selection.

For students that submit a deposit but do not have a preference as to roommates or living space, or fail to appear for Selection Night, you will be placed randomly after Housing Selection is complete.

Below is a diagram of the Selection Night Process.  Farmiliarizing yourself with the diagram will help Selection run smoothly and help you get the space you desire.
