Thomas Massimo, B.S., J.D.
Thomas Massimo earned a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law
School, MA, and received his B.S. in Public Administration from
Roger Williams University, RI. He continued his studies with courses
in European Union Law and UK Business Law. He teaches employment
discrimination law and global affairs at Newbury College, in addition
to teaching a number of courses for DPCS. The courses Massimo teaches
at Wentworth in the Division of Professional and Continuing Studies
include Professional Practice, Business Negotiations, Organizational
Theory and Design and Labor Relations.
Massimo is currently the Director of Labor Relations and Personnel
for the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. Prior
to this, he practiced law, in his own office, providing litigation
and counseling services to employers and employees in labor and
employment law issues, such as employment discrimination, sexual
harassment, wrongful termination and related claims. He has also
been a Manager in Shopco Management Corp in New York and the Finch
Group, MA and Equity Property and Development in IL.
Massimo is a board member of several associations including the
Massachusetts/MOSES Health and Welfare Trust Fund and served on
Assembly Square Redevelopment Advisory Board. He is a member of
the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association.
He developed and presented a professional seminar for practicing
attorneys and has been involved in state and local politics. |
