Hossein Noorian is an Associate Professor in the Department of
Humanities, Social Sciences, and Management at Wentworth Institute
of Technology. He holds a B.S. in International Business
from Tehran Business College and an MBA in Finance from Northeastern
University. Professor Noorian has taught courses in Financial
Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Financial Management, Engineering
Economics Analysis, Policy & Planning, International Business
Management, Technical Management Seminar and Senior Project Since
1988. He has also been teaching Financial Accounting,
Financial Management, and Senior Project in the Division of
Professional and Continuing Studies at WIT since 1983.
Professor Noorian is the faculty advisor for WIT's chapter
of Sigma, Beta, Delta National Honor Society.
In 2006 Professor Noorian was the recipient of the Grant Johnson
award for teaching excellence.
Professor Noorian was the founder and advisor of the $tudent
Investment $ociety ($I$), which in 1992 was recognized as the
Outstanding Student Club, and in the same year Professor Noorian was
awarded the first Charlie Roselie Advisor of the Year by WIT.
Professor Noorian has taught at the graduate level in the finance
field at the Graduate School of Business Administration of
Northeastern University, Metropolitan College of Boston University,
as well as undergraduate courses at the College of Management of
University of Massachusetts-Boston Campus.
Mr. Noorian was Partner and Vice-President of finance at F.A.N.
an import/export company for two years. He was also a finance
consultant to Investment Management Information Company and Louis
Air Inc.; both in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
He was a member of The Boston Architectural
Society Finance Committee and also he served as an advisor to the Massport Designer's
Selection Committee at Logan International Airport in Boston.
Professor Noorian's areas of interests are Corporate Finance,
Investment, International Business and Corporate Strategy.
Professor Noorian is a member of the American Accounting
Association, The Institute of Management Accountant, and Eastern
Finance Association. |
