During the past decade, the design-build field has become a multibillion dollar industry. Our program in Architectural Technology helps prepare you for a career in this growing area, which includes architectural design, construction, and manufacturing. You will learn about the variety of building systems in architecture, the basics of structural engineering, and the application of codes and specifications to the design construction process. The hands-on curriculum includes a grounding in CAD and drafting techniques, and experience in project management applications. Graduates of the program are employed by architecture, construction, and manufacturing firms, as well as in allied professions such as government agencies and structural, mechanical, and electrical companies. Graduates may also enter Wentworth’s bachelor’s degree programs in Construction Management or Project Management.
