Residing on campus is one of the most important predictors of success for new students. Studies have shown that students living on campus generally get higher grade point averages, are more likely to graduate on time, and are more satisfied with their college experience than students who live off campus.
Students attending the Wentworth Institute of Technology out of high school are required to live on campus for the first two years of their college career if they are not commuting from home.
Over half of our students live on-campus in a variety of residential options. From traditional brownstone building to apartment building to traditional residential buildings to our newest apartment-style buildings, there are a myriad of residential options that promote student success at Wentworth. Each of our residential communities is co-educational, staffed by a full-time professional resident director and resident assistants. Outside doors are secured by an electronic access system 24 hours a day and a mix of student desk attendants and professional security monitor the outside doors during peak usage time in 4 of our residential areas.
