| Facilities managers are involved in
the short- and long-term planning that coordinates the physical
workplace with the people and the work produced by an organization. They
meet this challenge by integrating the principles of architecture,
interior design, engineering, business and the behavioral sciences.
As a student in our facilities planning and management program,
you will participate in the only program of its kind in the Northeast.
You'll develop management skills and gain a working knowledge of current
facilities management technologies. Studies include introduction to a
range of topics, including space utilization, development and planning,
energy management, facility assessment, and forecasting. You are
required to successfully complete two co-op work semesters beginning
junior year. This program is accredited by IACBE, the International Assembly
for Collegiate Business Education. (See
www.iacbe.org for
information about IACBE accreditation.) Wentworth's Facilities Planning & Management program is Recognized by IFMA, the International Facilities Management Association as one of only six degree programs in the world that meets industry standards for professional education in facilities management. (See www.ifma.org for information about IFMA.)
As a graduate you'll be qualified for employment with private
institutions, private corporations, and federal and state governments.
