Cindy Stevens, B.A., M.A., Ph. D.
Cindy Stevens received her Ph.D. in Technology Management-Digital
Communication Systems, at Indiana State University, in the Fall
2002. Cindy earned her Baccalaureate Degree in English
from Hilbert College and received a Masters in Technical &
Professional Communication from East Carolina University.
Stevens is an Associate Professor in the Day College at Wentworth
Institute of Technology, in the Humanities/Social Sciences /Management
Department. She teaches an array of technology management, writing,
and technical communication courses, including Management Policy,
Management Information Systems, System Analysis and Time Management,
Presentation Skills, Impacts of Technology, Future of Technology
and Computer Networking. She teaches two internet-based courses
for the Division of Professional and Continuing Studies - Professional
Communication and Introduction to Computers & Programming. Stevens
has also been teaching Internet-based Computer courses at Wayne
Community College, Goldsboro, NC since1995.
Stevens works as a Technical Writer for Prentice Hall on a contractual
basis, planning, writing and editing technical manuals. She also
works periodically as a Software Trainer and designs, plans & implements
specific software training seminars. In addition, she has performed
computer and communications consultancy work, specializing in Software
training and installation, network planning and support, database
design & management and web design & support.
Stevens has authored several technical publications and is a member
of the Society for Technical Communications and the Air Force Library
Computing Services Advisory Panel. At Wentworth, she is part of
the Technology Management Focus Group and Distance Learning Sub-Committee. |
