Thomas M. Lesko, Architect, B. Arch., M.L.A.
Thomas Lesko is a Registered Professional Architect in
Massachusetts, New York State, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont,
and Maine, and holds NCARB national certification. He earned his
5-year Professional Bachelor of Architecture Degree from the
Syracuse University School of Architecture. His thesis project
showed the design of a polyhedral spatial structure within an
existing historic urban fabric and was published in the Journal of
the World Congress on Space Frame Enclosures.
Prof. Lesko later earned a Master of Arts in Studio Art from
Harvard University. His graduate thesis: "Natural Technology:
Accepting Architectural Form Based on Natural Occurring Structure"
demonstrated rationale and direction for a new architectural style
in the 21st century. Prof. Lesko also has certificates from courses
completed at the Roberson Center for the Arts in New York and
several U.S. Air Force electronics schools. Prior to entering the
architectural profession, Thomas Lesko was a non-commissioned
officer in the U.S. Air Force. He served in Viet Nam, Thailand and
the United States as an Electronics Specialist, holding a top secret
security clearance in a photo reconnaissance outfit.
Prof. Lesko teaches Basic Building Services, Contract Drawings &
Methods and Contracts & Codes for DPCS. He is currently an Associate
Professor and Bachelor of Science Academic Coordinator in the
Architecture Department in the day division at Wentworth and has
maintained an architectural practice during his 24 years of teaching
at Wentworth. Additionally, he has published over 100 articles on
architecture and construction and has lectured and given seminars at
various regional and national events. Lesko is the N.E. Regional
Director of the International Design Communication Association, a
member of the Harvard University Philomorphs, a boy scout assistant
scout-master and an "eagle scout" advisor. |
