DPCS Adjunct Faculty

Robert Goldstein, B.S., Ph.D.

Robert Goldstein earned his Doctoral Degree in Nuclear Physics, from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Prior to this, he attended Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, where he attained a Bachelor of Science Degree.

Dr. Goldstein's area of academic specialization is Computer Science. His major interest is the application of Computer Science and technology to scientific research. He has taught Data Structures 1 and Computer Science II Using "C" and "Java", for DPCS and has also taught at Bunker Hill Community College, Boston University and Clark University.

Dr. Goldstein is currently employed as a Senior Computer Analyst at Schepens Eye Research Institute. He has held previous positions in the Schepens Eye Research Institute, as Head of MIS and as a Scientific Programmer. Dr. Goldstein was an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and the Program Coordinator of the Computer Science Program in the Day College at Wentworth Institute of Technology, prior to his current place of employ.


Dr. Goldstein was the Director of Information Systems in New England Research Institutes for several years and prior to this he was an Associate Director of Information Systems in charge of North American Operations with PAREXEL International Corporation.

He is a member of numerous Professional Societies, including the Association for Computing Machinery, the Data Processing Management Association, the Drug Informatics Association and the Society for Clinical Trials.

Dr. Goldstein is most interested in research areas such as Vision research; Clinical Trials; Image Processing; Software Development; Database Systems and Remote Computing Devices.
