Siben Dasgupta, B.S., M.S., M.S. ENG MGMT, E.E., P.E.
Siben Dasgupta is an Assistant Professor in the Electronics Department
in the Day College at Wentworth Institute of Technology. He also
teaches an array of courses for DPCS, including Digital Communication,
Feedback Control Systems and Microcomputer Control Systems. Dasgupta
was an adjunct Instructor at both Suffolk and Northeastern University
(in the graduate school of engineering) for a number of years.
Dasgupta earned a first class honors in his Bachelor of Science
Degree in Electrical Engineering from Calcutta University in India.
He continued his studies at Calcutta University, receiving a Masters
of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering. Dasgupta was awarded
a Masters of Science Degree in Engineering Management and a Post
Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, from Northeastern University.
He is also a Registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts.
Prior to his employ at Wentworth, Dasgupta worked at Boston Edison
Company, where he was a Plant Supervisor in the System Engineering
Department. He was responsible for supervising eight System and
Maintenance Engineers and providing technical leadership for various
plant electrical and instrumentation systems. Dasgupta was also
a System Engineer in this Department and was Division Manager in
the Nuclear Engineering Department, after working as a senior engineer
in several other divisions within Boston Edison.
He has authored several articles which have been published, including
an article in the Journal of Technology (INDIA) 1969, "Transient
Performance Three Phase Induction Motors During Sudden Voltage Depressions"
and an article entitled "Degraded or Loss of Voltage Protection
of Class I.E. Auxiliary Power Systems in a Nuclear Power Plant"
published in IEEE Nuclear Power transaction, February, 1973.
Dasgupta is a Senior Member of the Instrument Society of America
(ISA). |
