Office Cleaning Schedule

Daily Cleaning:  (6 days per week after 6:00 P.M.)

  •  Clean all areas of spillage on tile/carpet floors.
  •  Close and secure all windows found open and pull shades to half waypoint to sash.
  •  Reset furniture.

Two Times a Week: Tuesday and Friday

  •  Vacuum all carpet areas.
  •  Empty and clean all wastebaskets and place in new plastic bag liner 
  •  Mop and rinse all tile floor areas.

Weekly:

  • Spot clean all doors, walls and edges.
  •  Clean all door and window partitions.
  •  Spot shampoo all carpet areas.
  •  Dust all furniture; wipe clean all hard surfaces.
  •  Clean and polish all desktops with approved ammoniated cleaner.
  •  Clean and damp wipe all counters.

Note: Do not disturb papers on desks, tables and counters. Empty boxes are not to be discarded unless marked trash.

Monthly:

  •  Dust all vertical surfaces of all furniture.
  •  Remove dust from hard to reach and high surfaces.
  •  Machine wash and wax areas showing excessive wear.
  •  Wipe down baseboards.

Academic Cleaning Schedule

Daily Cleaning:  (6 days per week after 8:00 P.M.)

  • Empty and clean all wastebaskets and place new plastic liners.
  • Sponge wash instructor’s desk.
  • Sweep/dust mop all resilient flooring
  • Wipe up spillage where encountered.
  • Clean all chalkboards and white marker boards.  Provide chalk, white board markers and erasers as required.
    Note:    Do not clean boards having “SAVE” instructions on them.
  • Close and secure all windows found open/ pull shades to halfway point of sash.
  • Reset draperies in open position.
  • Reset furniture.

Two Times a Week: Monday and Thursday

  • Vacuum all carpet areas.
  • Mop and rinse all resilient floor areas

Weekly:

  • Sponge off soils on entrance doors.
  • Sponge wash and clean all student desk and table tops.
  • Wipe down baseboard.
  • Spot clean walls, doors and sills.
  • Spot shampoo carpet.
  • Vacuum-clean all radiator grills/fins and convector tops.
  • Dust all exposed walls/ceiling ledges-hard to reach and high surfaces.

Monthly:

  • Machine wash and wax areas showing excessive wear.

To submit your work requests fill out the following form:

  1. Your First Name, Last Name, Email, and Phone, will automatically be entered. Verify your identity by choosing the “YES” button.
  2. Choose your Location, Area and Area/Room Number.
  3. Select the Problem Type that best describes your issue. For example, if a toilet is leaking, that would be a plumbing issue. Once you click on a problem type, the page will refresh and your problem type will be highlighted with a red circle.
  4. If this is an emergency, check the Maintenance Emergency check box below the problem types list and immediately contact the Physical Plant ServiceLine at (617)989-4555
  5. Describe your Problem or request.
  6. Enter the Requested Completion Date (optional). Click the calendar icon next to the date field to choose a date from a calendar.
  7. Enter your Submittal Password*. This password is provided only to individuals selected by their department head to submit work requests.
  8. Please provide as much detail as possible when filling in the request form. If any problems arise, please contact the Physical Plant ServiceLine at (617)989-4555 for assistance.
