Event Planning
The Physical Plant Department provides event support, including setups, signage, custodial, lighting, power, climate control and scheduling.
Event Requests
The Physical Plant Department maintains an online event scheduling system called MySchoolBuilding.com, which is available to aid in the support of campus events. Each department head has designated individual(s) to be the requester for their department and they will be able to help with your event request.
Events held on the Wentworth campus may be handled differently, depending on whether they utilize academic or non-academic facilities, or are an outside group.

Academic vs. Non-Academic Facilities
Academic space usage must first be approved by the Registrar’s office, and then the request can be submitted online. Non-academic space usage is controlled by the Physical Plant and will be approved after the event request is reviewed.
Outside Groups

Service Providers
The Physical Plant Department is just one of several service providers that work to support the events on this campus. The online request system is the initial step in reserving a space for your event or meeting, and it allows the requester to track the approval process. Information entered into the online form is available to the following service providers:
- Physical Plant - Event setup & breakdown, climate control, lighting & power, signage, tables & chairs (limited availability).
- Division of Technology Services - Media support – projectors, laptops, conference phones, microphones.
- Chartwells - Food & beverages, banquet services, catering.
- Public Safety - Parking, security needs, room access.
- Purchasing – Rental Services - Rental of tables, chairs & other event needs.
