I need to stay late or arrive early.

If you require overnight accommodations the night before your first day of Orientation (Pre-Night), and/or the night after your second day of Orientation (Post-Night), please follow the options below:

For those needing accommodations the night before Orientation (Pre-Night) or at the end of Day 2 Orientation (Post-Night), space is available in one of our Residence Halls. There is no cost for staying an extra night on campus, however there are restrictions on times you can enter/exit the building and there is a strict no-guest policy.
To reserve a space for Pre-Night or Post-Night, please call the Office of New Student Programs at 617-989-4639.

Students can arrive after 2:00PM on the day before Orientation begins.
If you stay for Post-Night, you will need to check out by 9:00 a.m. SHARP, no exceptions.  Please note that NSO ends before noon on Day 2.  Therefore it is very rare that students are allowed to stay for Post-Night.

If you need accommodations the night before Orientation (Pre-Night) or at the end of Day 2 Orientation (Post-Night) and do not want to stay in our residence hall, you can also make a reservation at one of the hotels located close to campus. Please click here for a listing of local accommodations close to campus.

Is New Student Orientation required?

Yes, Orientation is required.  New Student Orientation is your opportunity to learn about everything you need to do over the summer to have a smooth transition into Wentworth.  You will get to meet your professors, your new classmates and spend a night in the residence halls.  The entire Wentworth community comes together for Orientation.

For students who live at a significant distance, please contact the Office of New Student Programs at 617-989-4639 or newstudentprograms@wit.edu to arrange for an alternate orientation experience.

Can I change my NSO session?

Yes, you can change your NSO session.  Prior to June 15, log into the registration database and select which NSO you would like to attend.  Your old registration will be erased once the new one is complete.

If it is after June 15, please call the office at 617-989-4639.  Please leave detailed information on the message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Please keep in mind that we have a limit on the number of students who can attend each New Student Orientation. Therefore, if you know that you will not be attending a certain NSO session, please change your registration as soon as possible.
