Entrance Interview and Master Promissory Notes
All first time Stafford Loan borrowers must complete an entrance interview and the Master Promissory Note (MPN) before the loan funds can be credited to your account. The entrance interview process provides a full understanding of your rights and responsibilities when borrowing from the Stafford Loan program. The MPN gives you authorization to borrow loans through the Stafford loan program and allows you to select the lender who will provide the funding.
Please log on to www.studentloans.gov to complete the following two requirements:
- Sign your Master Promissory Note (MPN) for your Stafford Loans.
- Complete the required Entrance Counseling Session.
The Student Service Center staff and team of counselors are available to answer any questions you may have about your financial aid award. Individual counselor’s contact information can be located on-line at http://www.wit.edu/ssc/ser/s_contact.htm.
