Wentworth Hosts Spring 2014 Career Fair
On Thursday, March 27, the Office of Career Services hosted the Spring 2014 Career Fair in Tansey Gymnasium.
Nearly 150 employers (54 of which were represented by Wentworth alumni) and 646 students attended the event. Sponsor’s for this semester’s career fair included Columbia Construction Company, Electric Supply Center, Commodore Builders, Dacon Corporation, Dellbrook Construction LLC/J.K. Scanlan Co. LLC, TG Gallagher, Kiva Systems, and the Wentworth Alumni Association. Other noted companies in attendance were GE, Bond, Axis Communications, Electroswitch, Empire Prototype Development, Pickard Chilton, and the S/L/A/M Collaborative.
The event allowed for ample networking opportunities, connecting Wentworth students with employers ranging from small businesses to multinational corporations in the fields of engineering, technology, design, and management.
Employers in attendance, including Chris Eustace, BCOS ’99, and owner of Eustace Consulting in Watertown, expressed a strong interest in Wentworth students.
“They have a strong technical knowledge and enthusiasm around technology,” said Eustace, an active Wentworth co-op employer, adding that he attributes much of his current success to the Institute’s co-op program.
“These students have great technical talent,” said Britt Christian of GE. “It’s why we’ve come before, and why we’re back again.”
