Quantum and Creative Connections Exhibit
Elise Wagner, an Oregon-based painter, came to campus to kick off her two week exhibit, “Quantum and Creative Connections,” on display in Casella Gallery through Oct. 21. As a prelude to the gallery’s opening, two distinguished faculty members gave lectures on the relevance of Wagner’s work to their respective disciplines. Ron Bernier of the Humanities and Social Sciences department gave a lecture on how the works apply to art history, while Professor James O’Brien of the Applied Mathematics department analyzed her work through a physics lens. Their lectures were a testimony to both the versatility of Ms. Wagner’s art as well as the importance of interdisciplinary learning. This event was part of Wentworth’s Distinguished Faculty Lecture series.
