A free database of 350,000 chemical compounds. Records consist of name, synonyms, CAS number, molecular formula, and direct links to biomedical resources.

NIST Materials Science and Engineering Laboratory
Materials data and reports on biomaterials, polymers, metallurgy, ceramics, advanced manufacturing processes, nanotechnology, and micro-and opto-electronics.  A collection of Recommended Practice Guides show how to use proper laboratory quantitative methods and techniques.

NIST Standard Reference Materials

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)
The IAEA was organized in 1957 to encourage the peaceful use of nuclear technology among international member states.  This web site contains full-text access to treaties, conventions, standards, reports, magazines, brochures, books, and scientific and technical publications.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) was created as an independent agency by Congress in 1974 to enable the nation to safely use radioactive materials for beneficial civilian purposes while ensuring that people and the environment are protected. The NRC regulates commercial nuclear power plants and other uses of nuclear materials, such as in nuclear medicine, through licensing, inspection and enforcement of its requirements.
