Subject Databases
Is your topic in a particular subject area? Which electronic database you use depends on your topic.
If so, use a subject database. Subject databases specialize in a particular subject, and the articles indexed are generally from scholarly sources. Examples of subject databases and the kinds of articles they identify are:
| ABI/INFORM® | indexes articles in business-related subjects such as management, finance, and advertising |
| IEEE Explore | indexes engineering and technology articles |
| Applied Science & Technology Full Text | indexes articles related to a broad range of applied science fields from acoustics to neural networks |
