Subject Databases

Is your topic in a particular subject area?  Which electronic database you use depends on your topic.

If so, use a subject database. Subject databases specialize in a particular subject, and the articles indexed are generally from scholarly sources. Examples of subject databases and the kinds of articles they identify are:

ABI/INFORM indexes articles in business-related subjects such as management, finance, and advertising
IEEE Explore  indexes engineering and technology articles
Applied Science & Technology Full Text indexes articles related to a broad range of applied science fields from acoustics to neural networks
