Kristie Avery and Drew Bortles, both BINT’12, were recently honored in the International Interior Design Association New England chapter’s annual awards. Avery’s design focused on architect Adolf Loos’ idea of interrelated spatial volumes as well as the functionality of each room, while Bortles’ living space focused on concrete floors, large windows, and a lofted upstairs.
