I wasn't able to purchase tickets to Blue Man Group/Shear Madness/Improv Asylum etc... will more tickets become available?
We do not plan to purchase additional tickets for the Saturday evening shows.  We hope that you will join us on-campus for the Hypnotist.
You can also purchase tickets on your own by visiting each theater's box office
      Blue Man Group: http://www.blueman.com/tickets/boston
      Shear Madness: http://www.shearmadness.com/buy-tickets.html
      Improv Asylum: http://www.improvasylum.com/

What events are appropriate for children or younger siblings? All of our on-campus events are appropriate for family members of all ages, even Casino Night!  Because there is no money exchanged at Casino night even those who are below the legal gambling age can participate.  (Even if your children aren't ready for the blackjack or poker tables just yet, we do have bingo and a few other kid-friendly games.)  Our hypnotist at 7pm on Saturday is also family friendly.  As for our off campus events, Blue Man Group is recommended for ages 8 and up, and no one under 5 is allowed in the theater.  Shear Madness is recommended for ages 12 and up, and Improv Asylum is recommended for ages 17 and up.

Which events are free?  Which events will I need to pay for? All events taking place on campus (with the exception of the Build-a-Leopard station at the Harvest Festival) are free to attend.  Off-campus events including Blue Man Group, Improv Asylum, Shear Madness, and Duck Tours will require a ticket to be purchased.  To purchase a ticket click here.

Do I need to take the provided bus to Blue Man Group/Shear Madness/Improv Asylum? No, this is merely a convenience we provide.  If you would like to travel on your own directions by car and MBTA are in your program.

If I bought tickets through the Blue Man Group/Shear Madness/Improv Asylum box office can I take the Wentworth provided bus?
The buses provided are for those who purchase tickets to the above shows through Wentworth's Family & Alumni Weekend Website.  Of course, not all ticket holders will ride the bus and there may be empty seats.  If there are seats available at the time of departure, those who bought their tickets elsewhere may board the bus, there are however, no guarantees that seats will be available.  All theater locations are easily accessible by public transportation and maps and directions to the theaters will be available at check in.

Do Duck Tours really pick us up at Wentworth? Yes, the Duck Boats will be waiting for you in the West Lot on Sunday morning (just make sure to bring your ticket and your rain gear!)

Do I need money for Casino Night? No, there is no fee associated with Casino Night.  Each participant will get a bag of chips that can be redeemed for raffle tickets at the end of the night.

A member of my party has food allergies, will he/she be able to eat on campus? Contact the Family Weekend coordinator at familyweekend@wit.edu and she will be happy to go over the planned meals for Family Weekend so that you can make the best decision for your party.

I want to go to the classroom sampler, but there is no class associated with my student's major, what should I do? Although we are not able to offer a class for every major on campus, we assure you that all the classes we offer will be both fun and educational.  This could be the perfect time for you (and your student) to try something new.

How can I purchase tickets to the Museum of Science/New England Aquarium/Museum of Fine Arts/local movie theaters? Tickets to the Museum of Science and the New England Aquarium will be all throughout Family Weekend at check-in.  These tickets are $5 and $8 respectively. We may also have a small amount of tickets available to the Omni theater at the Museum of Science; these tickets are also $5.  Remember, Wentworth students always get in free at the Isabella Stewart Garner Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts.  Schedules for all these attractions will be available at check-in.  We will also have tickets available to the Fenway Regal Theater and the AMC Theater at Boston Common, both for $6.  Movie schedules will be available at check-in.
