Community Standards

Dear Parents and Families,

Congratulations on your student being accepted to Wentworth! This accomplishment is significantly due to your influence and support, so you should pat yourself of on the back. Now that s/he has made it to Wentworth, our goal now is to make sure they stay here. Wentworth has very high expectations of our students both in and out of the classroom. We expect that our students become familiar with the Student Code of Conduct, as this is the standard to which they will be held during their tenure at Wentworth. The policies outlined in the Student Code of Conduct are quite simple and common sense.

As it states in our Parental Notification Policy, Wentworth Institute of Technology recognizes that students, parents and the Institute are in a partnership in which each has the responsibility to promote a healthy and productive educational experience. We believe parents can assist students in fulfilling their educational goals through the use of open dialogue. Therefore, we ask that parents and families talk to their students about their own expectations, as well as the Institute's. We encourage parents and families to read the policies outlined in the Student Code of Conduct to fully understand the expectations of the Institute and assist your student in making the right decisions to avoid disciplinary problems.

If you have any questions, please contact me at naborsm@wit.edu or 617-989-4486.

Sincerely,

Marlin Nabors
Director
Office of Community Standards
