Crisis Counseling & Support
Crisis Counseling is designed to help individuals and communities restore a sense of calm and control after a crisis event or emergency situation. It is not unusual that in a crisis or emergency situation an individual's coping skills are often depleted and a sense of vulnerability takes over. Wentworth has resources and services available for students, faculty, and staff in the event of a campus crisis or for any individual crisis. In the case of a campus crisis, location of services will be widely publicized.
In the case of individual crisis situations, there are separate services available for student and for faculty/staff:
- Students can access the Center for Wellness and Disability Services, located on the ground floor of Watson Hall. Appointments are not necessary for emergency situations and students can either visit the Center or call 617-989-4390.
- During evenings or weekends, students can call Public Safety (617-989-4444) to be connected to the Counselor-on-call. Services are free to all students.
- Faculty and staff are invited to utilize Wentworth's employee assistance plan, AllOne Health Resources, 24 hours a day/7 days a week, by calling 800-451-1831 or visiting www.AllOneHealthEAP.com.
