ELMC829 - Electromagnetic Field Theory

This course introduces static electric and magnetic fields. Time-varying fields are studied using Maxell's equations. Application of energy transfer in space and in communication transmission lines are analyzed. Prerequisite: MATH510 Calculus III. 

Course Objectives

At the conclusion of this course:

  1. The student will have the ability to manipulate Maxwell’s equations using vector calculus for the purpose of investigating static, time varying electric and magnetic fields.

  2. The student will realize why and understand the need for advanced study to become proficient in this area.
