ELEC450 - Solid State Devices
The primary goal of this course is to provide students with the essential background on semiconductor materials and devices including a basic understanding of crystal structure, energy bands, charge carriers and junctions. Pre-requisite: MATH510, Calculus III. Co-requisite: ELEC443, Analog Circuit Design.
To develop a basic understanding of solid state electronic devices
To develop a basic understanding of the electrical behavior of solids
To study the transport of charge through a metal or a semiconductor
