Master Electrician
This course covers the requirements of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the Master Electrician License. The offerings of this course include a study of the general laws of Massachusetts which apply to: electricians and the regulation of the Massachusetts Board of State Examiners of Electricians.
The course will cover topics such as: identification and use of electrical materials, wire sizes, ampacity, demand factors, temperature change of ampacity, voltage drop, feeder requirements, branch circuit calculation, fuse requirements, motor protection, conduit sizing, circuit theory, power factor, three-phase circuits, motors, transformers, lighting, symbols, plan reading, estimating, taxes, discounts, insurance, fees, workman's compensation, profit, and overhead and checking procedures.
At least half of the class time will be used for a thorough study of the Massachusetts Electrical Code.
