About Construction Management

Construction Management is the business of managing all aspects of construction projects, from development through construction of the built environment. This rapidly growing profession requires solid project management skills and ability to manage resources, finances, and time. Construction management (CM) students learn about state-of-the-art construction methods and materials, developing skills in management, budgeting, cost control, cost estimation, scheduling, team-building, and communication skills.

Graduates are ready for the challenges of the industry and are actively recruited to oversee projects for construction management firms, construction contracting companies, real estate developers, appraisers, financial institutions, and real estate management firms. Many graduates also seek positions in government agencies, architecture offices, engineering firms, industrial companies, or material suppliers.
