Request for Proposal
The RFP Process
The Center has launched the RFP process! Read more about the process below, and be sure to review the corresponding documents whether you are a faculty member interested in Service Learning, a student excited to get involved with the community, or a community partner seeking resources for a project need!
Project Opportunities
Wentworth Institute of Technology’s Center for Community and Learning Partnerships seeks partners for project opportunities between community, students, and faculty.
Supported projects are focused on producing viable and necessary products for community non-profits while also creating useful and exciting educational experiences for Wentworth students. Projects may be work study opportunities, student co-op opportunities, a service learning class project, or a one-day community service project. See the list of category definitions
Past projects have benefitted both members of the partnership, and Wentworth hopes to expand this program to offer more partnership opportunities with our larger community. We encourage you to submit a proposal that will meet a need of your organization and of the population you serve.
To identify projects, the Center will issue Request for Proposals twice per year for projects to be completed in the following two semesters. Requests submitted in the fall should be for projects to take place in the following spring or summer semester. Requests submitted in the spring should be for projects to take place in the following summer or fall semester.
Requests will be vetted with the support of Wentworth co-op students, Wentworth faculty and the CLP. Resources may be available to help fund projects, and the need for such should be included in your proposal.
Once your proposal is received, you may be contacted for more information. The RFP submission begins a dialogue for partnership. All proposals will be considered, but due to limited capacity, may not be accepted for implementation at this time. If your project is not accepted, you will have the opportunity to re-submit it in future cycles. Feedback will be provided for all project submissions.
