Faculty Guest Lecture Series

About the Program

The Faculty Guest Lecture Series seeks to provide Boston Public School students with exposure to college and careers through lectures given by Wentworth faculty.

Vision Statement:

To have every student who participates in the Faculty Guest Lecture Series succeed in college or enter careers.

Program Overview:

The Faculty Guest Lecture Series aims to connect Wentworth Institute of Technology faculty to Boston Public School (BPS) students.  Faculty members serve as guest lecturers in BPS classrooms to discuss their area of academic expertise with students.  They also present Wentworth’s academic programs and their link to potential career opportunities.

Boston Public School Partnerships:

The Faculty Guest Lecture Series will partner with several BPS high schools.  The lecture series seeks to match faculty with appropriate classroom settings, in which students’ area of study corresponds to faculty’s field of interest.

Wentworth Student Engagement:

For the upcoming semester, the lecture series plans to allot time for current Wentworth students, preferably BPS alumni, to share their personal development, academic pathways, and professional aspirations with BPS students.
