The faculty and staff take great pride in the strong reputation of these programs.  We are committed to providing a high quality undergraduate education that prepares you with the appropriate knowledge, skills, and attitudes to successfully begin a career in many areas of the design and construction profession or attend graduate school. Equally as important it will also prepare you to continue to grow professionally and personally throughout your career.

We see an exciting, challenging and rewarding future awaiting you in all areas of the design, construction and environmental profession. Some of you could apply your education and experience to maintain and rejuvenate our nation's deteriorating roads, bridges, drinking water and other public works systems. The American Society of Civil Engineers estimates that $1.6 trillion is needed over a five-year period to bring the nation's infrastructure to a good condition. This growth, both nationally and internationally, will bring with it the need for new roads, new buildings, more fresh water, more wastewater treatment, and the disposal of more solid waste. In both cases you would generally be part of multidisciplinary teams necessary to address the increasingly complex nature (technical, environmental, economic, political and social) of these challenges. And you will have the opportunity to work with interesting people from a variety of areas, including the government, the private sector, and the public.
