Welcome from the Dean
My name is Patrick Hafford and as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, I am pleased to welcome current and prospective students, alumni, parents, faculty and staff to our website. This site has been designed to enable you to gain a better understanding of the college and to help you find information about our degree programs, faculty, upcoming events and news about the college.
As the heart and soul of Wentworth, Arts and Sciences serves every undergraduate student who attends the institute through its general education curriculum as well as specialized courses in the sciences, applied mathematics, humanities, and social sciences. We offer four undergraduate degree programs and one graduate program:
- Three-year B.S. in Applied Mathematics (while the program is designed to be completed in three years, a four-year option is also available),
- B.S. in Business Management with concentration options in Entrepreneurship and Technology Project Management,
- B.S. in Computer Information Systems,
- Specialized B.S. in Facility Planning & Management,
- M.S. in Facility Management
Like all programs at Wentworth, these degrees heavily employ experiential learning and require two co-op work semesters.
The fifty full-time faculty in the college are a talented group of teachers who have earned advanced degrees from over 80 distinguished universities located in 47 states and 5 countries.
I hope you will visit the individual departments' web pages and become familiar with the people and the programs. We are here to offer students a meaningful and first-rate experience that will not only educate, but also prepare them for the challenges of today's dynamic world.
If you are interested in joining us as a new student, either as a freshman or a transfer student, the admissions office can be reached at 617-989-4000.
