SOWA Market trip - Sunday May 18th, 11am

Join Campus Life for a free trip to the SoWa market on May 18th.  The SoWa district in Boston, Massachusetts is a section of the South End neighborhood spanning east-to-west from Massachusetts Ave to Herald Street and north-to-south from Shawmut Ave to Albany Street. The name of the area, SoWa, is a shortening of “South of Washington”.  Sundays in SoWa became a big hit 11 years ago with the beginning of the SoWa Open Market – an open air crafts and art market showcasing handmade goods by talented small business owners.  You'll find ffood trucks, art galleries, crafts, a farmer's market and more.

  • The Food Truck Court is located at 540 Harrison Ave. Every week, 30 to 35 food trucks serve up a variety of mobile cuisines, ranging from grilled cheese sandwiches to brick oven pizza to organic, healthy eats.
  • The Farmers Market is located at 500 Harrison Ave, featuring a mouth watering assortment of locally grown produce, flowers, plants, and gourmet specialty foods.
  • The Arts Market is located at the end of Thayer Street and is a mecca for all things handmade. Only the best of the region’s makers and designers are accepted to the market, resulting in a carefully curated selection of well crafted, innovative, fun and funky art and craft.
