Wentworth Association of Managers Kick Off Event

On March 27th, the Wentworth Association of Managers (WAM) officially opened the club to the Wentworth community with the WAM Kick-Off Event. The event began with light refreshments, and an ice breaker to acquaint the guests with each other. Once everyone settled in, the event began with a few words from WAM’s President, Jordan O’Neill, and Faculty Sponsor, Professor Cindy Stevens. Jordan went on to introducing WAM’s first speaker Executive-in-Residence William Bachman. Mr. Bachman spoke about his prior experience with clubs and encouraged attendees to take advantage of the activities that college has to offer. Next, the Assistant Vice President of Treasury Sales for Eastern Bank, Mr. Stephen Arena, spoke about his experience as a manager in various financial organizations and how he worked his way through the ranks. Mr. Arena emphasized the importance of networking in the business world and encouraged students to continue participating in WAM. Mr. Arena also stressed the importance of attending as many networking events as possible. The event was concluded with the raffling off of three door prizes and mingling.

WAM is participating in some activities during the summer 2014 semester, in addition to resuming normal meetings in the fall of 2014. If you are interested in WAM please contact Kaylene Comfort at or visit to join WAM’s email list.
