Industry Professional Advisory Council (IPAC) Members
Bob Bateman is the Managing Partner of R. D. Bateman Consulting LLC., a firm that provides executive level Project Management guidance to IT. Prior to his retirement from IBM in 2007, Bob held a number of management positions including; sales, technical and operations management, manager in the Cambridge Scientific Center, senior manager in IBM Global Services, and as Trading Area CIO. At various times in his career, he was responsible for help desks, call centers, workstations, servers farms, data centers, network support and operations in the U.S. and Canada. He has been the Project Manager or Program Manager for the creation of data centers, network operations centers and global network management centers in the U.S., Canada and Brazil. In the past, Bob severed as the Executive in Residences in the Management Department at the Wentworth Institute of Technology. Most recently, Bob has lead efforts in capacity planning and provisioning for virtualized IT environments. He and his wife, Joann, are New England natives, who make their home in Scituate, MA.
A 25 year IS veteran, Susan Curran has extensive experience in outsourcing, global resourcing, product management, service and vendor management, project management, program development, and continuous improvement practices. She's amassed a record of significant accomplishment in the development and maturation of global teams, PMOs and professional service organizations in start-up ventures to global institutions. Susan has many years of experience in applying people, process and technology to solve business challenges facing various industries including Financial Services, Healthcare, Emergency Services, and Manufacturing. She is certified in various industry frameworks, tools and technologies directed toward continuous improvement and organizational transformation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science, as well as an MBA in Business Strategy and Analytics from Boston University
Judy is a Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 30 years experience related to project management and information technology (IT). She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Norwich University.
Over the course of her career, Judy has been instrumental in implementing new processes and tools to improve the delivery of IT projects. She is currently the Director of Enterprise Investment Portfolio Management (EIPM) for the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. Judy has developed project management standards, guidelines, and processes for the Federal Reserve and she established a Project Management Office in Boston. All standards, guidelines, and processes are consistent with the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Judy’s team is responsible for the deployment and support of CA Clarity PPM, an enterprise software application that supports investment management decision making for IT Executives as well as common project management practices for Project and Program Managers.
Prior to joining the Federal Reserve, Judy was a Manager for Unisys. In that role, she successfully led several projects in support of the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Mike Hogan has 30+ years of experience in investment banking. He spent his last 28 years with Credit Suisse both in Chicago and Boston. As a member of fixed income sales, Mr. Hogan covered institutional accounts, including Fidelity and State Street Bank, which were two of the largest. Mr. Hogan is currently transitioning to new career as small business owner of an education consulting firm, Hogan College Consulting. He will work with students on the college search and application process. He has spent last year retooling and is halfway through the IEC (Independent Educational Consultant) certificate program which is offered online through UCAL-Irvine. Mr. Hogan has become an Associate Member of IECA, and has visited many college campuses to get boots on the ground feel.
Ed Yee, PMP, MBA, is engaged in consulting and in the non-profit community serving in various board leadership roles. Mr. Yee served in engineering, marketing, operations and business management roles at Digital, Compaq and Hewlett-Packard Company. He managed engineering groups, global hardware and software New Product Introduction development teams and the delivery of custom IT solution deployments in the Telecom and DoD industry. Mr. Yee is a past president and treasurer of the Central Mass Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI), a founding board member, past vice chair and current secretary of the Belmont Media Center, a board member of the Boston Microsoft Project User Group (MPUG) and serves in various volunteer leadership roles. He also serves on the Business Advisory Council at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA.. Mr. Yee holds an electrical engineer degree as well as an executive MBA and is a PMI certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification and is an active member of the Project Management Institute Central Mass Chapter.
Laura Yorks is a senior manager at West Monroe Partners where she leads the east coast Insurance practice. A skilled program manager with a strong record for leading large, multi-year, global transformation initiatives, she has more than 20 years of insurance industry experience as both a consultant and an executive. She is a thought leader in multiple service areas including Multi-Channel Distribution Solutions, Life Insurance Solutions and Group Insurance Solutions.
