PAXTON, Mass. – Freshman forward Ben Nasman (Lenox, Mass.) and junior midfielder Kyle Nasman (Lenox, Mass.) each tallied goals, while senior keeper Joe Simon (Pittsfield, Mass.) made seven saves as the Wentworth men’s soccer team (11-3-0, 9-2-0 The Commonwealth Coast Conference) won its sixth straight game with a 2-0 win over Anna Maria (4-10-2, 2-8-1) in a TCCC contest played in Paxton, mass.
The game would remain scoreless until Ben Nasman took a feed pass from senior midfielder Chris Hartmann (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) and tallied the Leopards’ first goal of the game, which came at 66:32. With less than a minute remaining, Kyle Nasman would add an insurance goal, off a feed from senior forward Dan Hester (Winsted, Conn.).
Five of Simon’s saves came in the first half, where the host AmCats held a slim, 7-6, shot advantage. Wentworth would outshoot Anna Maria 15-11 for the game.
During the Leopards’ six-game win streak, Wentworth has outscored its opponents 24-2, which includes four shutouts. The Leopards are at Eastern Nazarene Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
