Looking Ahead
The future indeed looks bright for the Wentworth golf team. With
a roster made up of mostly underclassmen, the Leopards should continue
to compete as one of the upper-echelon teams in the CCC, as well
as improving its finish at both the ECAC and NEIGA Tournaments.

Schedule
The annual fall schedule
consists of dual and tri-matches against such teams as Rhode Island College, Newbury, and Johnson & Wales, as well as three invitationals (TCCC,
ECAC New England, NEIGA). In addition, a limited schedule is played
during the spring season. Wentworth plays its home matches and holds
its practices at Granite Links Golf Course or
President's Golf Course, both of which are located in nearby Quincy, Mass.

History
Golf was elevated to its current varsity status in time for the 1995-96
season. The team has posted a very impressive 43-19-3 match record during
that time and won at least four matches in its first 12
seasons as well as winning the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship in 2003, 2004, and 2005. During that time, the program has produced three All-New
England
golfers, including one who was named All-Region by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

Meet the Coaching Staff
Bob Giusti enters his first season as Wentworth's head golf coach, taking the reigns from David Pierce, who stepped down after five seasons at the helm, which included three consecutive (2003, 2004, 2005) Commonwealth Coast Conference Championships . Giusti, the Head Golf Professional at Halifax Country Club, was the head coach at UMass Dartmouth from 1989-1991. He is assisted by Joe Peck (UMass Boston '00), who is the General Manager of the Halifax Country Club.
