Women's Volleyball Falls Short at Worcester State
(September 4) The Leopard women's volleyball team fell to 0-2 on the young season with a 3-1 loss at Worcester State. The Lancers took the first set 25-19 before Wentworth knotted the match at 1-all with a 26-24 win in the second set. Worcester State would take a 2-1 lead with a 25-20 win in the third set and closed out the match with a 25-22 win in the fourth set. Junior Danielle Banks (Ellicott City, Md.) had 18 kills, 12 digs, and two blocks while freshman Julie Bruton (Montgomery, Texas) had eight kills and a hitting percentage of .316.

WPI Edges Women's Soccer Team
(September 4) After playing the first 45:00 to a 1-all tie, the Leopard women's soccer team allowed a goal 35 seconds into the second half as Wentworth fell to WPI, 2-1. Freshman Kristen Kudlic (Feeding Hills, Mass.) tallied for Wentworth at 28:31, which snapped WPI's shutout streak against Wentworth at 498:31. The Leopards had a chance at the end of regulation to tie the score, but fell short. Freshman Katherine Matthews (Northborough, Mass.) made four saves for the 1-2 Leopards.

Brandeis Shuts Out Leopards
(September 4) Two goals in a span of 5:19 in the first half lifted Brandeis to a 2-0 win over the men's soccer team. The Leopards, who fell to 0-2-1, were outshot 17-6, including 9-2 in the first half, got six saves from senior Joe Simon (Pittsfield, mass.) in nearly 70 minutes of work.

Women's Soccer Gives Up Late Goal to Fall to 1-1
(September 2) A goal with just over seven miuntes remaining in regulation proved to be the difference as Emmanuel defeated the Wentworth women's soccer team by a 1-0 final. Freshman Katherine Matthews (Northborough, Mass.) made six saves for the Leopards who were outshot by a 24-18 margin.

Leopards Surrender Second Half Lead; Tie Southern Maine, 3-3
(August 31) Wentworth's men's soccer team scored three goals in a 53-minute span to erase a 1-0 deficit and take a 3-1 lead with 25:39 remaining. However, the Leopards would allow a pair of goals in a span of 5:05 by Southern Maine and would wind up tying the Huskies, 3-3, in the second day of the 2008 Babson Soccer Classic. Sophomore midfielder Ben Nasman (Lenox, Mass.) scored twice for Wentworth while sophomore forward David Lagarce (Lenox, Mass.) scored a goal and added an assist. Senior Joe Simon (Pittsfield, Mass.) made seven saves.

Babson Blanks Men's Soccer Team
(August 30) Playing in its first game of the 2008 season the Leopard men's soccer team gave up three first-half goals and fell to host Babson, 3-0. Wentworth which was outshot 12-1 in the first half and 19-6 for the game, got an eight-save performance from senior keeper Joe Simon (Pittsfield, Mass.) and will face Southern Maine Sunday afternoon.

Leopards Fall to Brandeis
(August 30) Wentworth's women's volleyball team opened the 2008 season by dropping a match at Brandeis, 3-0. The Judges, the two-time ECAC Division III New England defending champions, took a 25-14 victory in the first set and won, 25-11, in the second set. The third set saw Wentworth fall, 16-25, to complete the sweep. Junior Danielle Banks (Ellicott City, Md.) had five kills and seven digs for the Leopards, while senior Jen Kelemen (Newburgh, N.Y.) and freshman Julie Bruton (Montgomery, Texas) each had eight digs. Bruton also chipped in with two blocks.

Women's Soccer Opens Season With Win
(August 30) Freshman midfielder Lucy Brown (Plainville, Conn.) scored her first two career goals and classmate Katherine Matthews (Northborough, Mass.) made eight saves – seven in the second half – as the Wentworth women’s soccer team opened the 2008 campaign with a 2-0 win over Simmons in a non-league contest played at Sweeney Field. The win was the first season-opening win for Wentworth since the 2005 season.
