Master of Architecture (Two-Year Program)
The two-year Master of Architecture degree curriculum provides a graduate-level course of study for students who have successfully completed a four-year NAAB-based Bachelor of Science in Architecture at another institution. The degree is typically completed in four semesters, contingent upon the department's evaluation of prior coursework. First-year coursework includes two studios, core courses in theory and professional practice, as well as architectural electives. Second-year coursework centers on the development of advanced, research-based knowledge, explored in the fall semester through a special topics studio, a seminar on research methods, and a class focused on thesis preparation. In the spring, students enroll in a thesis studio and advanced topics seminar. The Master of Architecture program offers each student the opportunity to fully develop and defend original research in the form of a design thesis. This degree is an essential credential for those who aspire to professional registration and licensure as architects.

External candidates applying to the Master of Architecture program are required to submit a full application, including a portfolio, transcripts (with GPA), a statement of objectives, references, and GRE General Test scores.
