Where: Wentworth Institute of Technology, 550 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA
Information: The event brings together members of Al Gore’s Climate Project from the New England states, upstate New York, and eastern Canada. More than 50 Climate Project “Messengers” who have been personally trained by Mr. Gore on the science of global warming will be updated on the latest scientific information regarding climate change problems and solutions as presented from staff and scientists of The Climate Project and the Union of Concerned Scientists.
The Messengers will share their experiences since their training for the Climate Project in 2006 and 2007, and they will participate in workshops to review findings and assessments, and identify strategies for promoting the importance of developing personal, regional, and national solutions for stabilizing global climate and for making the nation and the world more energy efficient.
The Union of Concerned Scientists will be presenting a workshop based on the Northeast Climate Impact Assessment report, Confronting Climate Change in the US Northeast: Science, Impacts and Solutions. This workshop will offer an in-depth look at the latest findings for the Northeast region, including appropriate solutions that are available today, and provide a variety of tools to communicate these findings and motivate action.
