Boston, MA – October 18, 2006 – Wentworth Institute of Technology is hosting the Boston Society of Architects’ (BSA) 18th Annual Career Day in Architecture and Design on Saturday, October 28 at 9:00 a.m.
This event is an opportunity for college-bound students and their parents, guidance counselors and teachers to explore education and career options in the field and meet with representatives from schools of architecture and design nationwide. Featuring more than 30 North American architecture and design schools, Career Day offers workshops on many architecture and design topics such as choosing a school, career options, computer-aided design (CAD), financing an education, a day in the life of an architect, and what it’s really like to be in design school.
Wentworth faculty member Glenn Wiggins, architecture department head, said "We are extremely happy to be hosting Career Day, anything we can do to work with the BSA and other architects to advance the field is something we’re glad to be involved with."
The day begins at 9:00 a.m. with a keynote address by BSA Board Member, Audrey O’Hagan in the Blount Auditorium, Annex Building. The College Marketplace will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Watson Auditorium. For more information on Career Day, please visit www.architects.org/careerday.
